Michigan on Broadway: A Tribute to Arthur Miller November
15, 2004
Barrett, along with University of Michigan musical theatre department grads
Hunter Foster, Gavin Creel, Jennifer Laura Thompson, and Lisa Datz performed "I
Wish I Could Go Back To College" from AVENUE Q and an original song by
U of M alumnus, Andrew Lippa at "Michigan on Broadway," a one-night
concert at the Richard Rodgers Theatre celebrating the naming of the world's
only Arthur Miller Theatre at the University of Michigan. Barrett (with
Princeton) also performed "Purpose" from AVENUE Q. At the event,
Miller, three months before his passing, announced that he intended to write
an inaugural play for the new theatre. Read

Musicals Tonight! presents "At This Performance" October
25th, 2004
Barrett performed "I Wish I Could Go Back To College" from AVENUE Q, "Moving
Too Fast" from THE LAST FIVE YEARS, and "Lonely Town" from ON
THE TOWN. The concert series, which features Broadway standbys/understudies
singing their show's current musical hits, is hosted by Stephen DeAngelis,
and accompanied by Eugene Gwozdz.
Discovered Treasures 2 Concert September 28, 2004
Barrett (Cupid) and Logan Lipton (Mercury) performed "My Eyes Are
Open Now" from off-Broadway's CUPID AND PSYCHE at Discovered Treasures
2, an evening of new and classic theatre and cabaret tunes, produced, directed
and hosted by John F. Znidarsic at the Donnell Library Theatre. Read

A MEMORY OF TWO MONDAYS Reading September 20, 2004
Barrett performed Kenneth (the Irish guy) in a reading of Arthur Miller's one-act
play, A MEMORY OF TWO MONDAYS, which opened Food for Thought's 2004 season.
The reading was directed by Joel Vig.
CUPID AND PSYCHE Reading July 12, 2004
Barrett reprised his role as Cupid for a revised reading of the musical CUPID

18th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition April 22, 2204
The cast of AVENUE Q teamed up with the cast of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF to write
and perform an original skit entitled "Avenue Jew," for which they
won "Best Bonnet Presentation." Barrett performed with Jewish
American Princeton. The special two-day annual event, benefiting Broadway Cares,
is the culmination of six intensive weeks of fundraising efforts by Broadway
and Off-Broadway company members as well as numerous productions currently

THE BOY COMES HOME Reading April 5, 2004
Barrett performed Philip in a reading of A.A. Milne's one-act play, THE BOY
COMES HOME as part of the "Food for Thought" reading series. The
reading was directed by Tony award winning director, Melvin Bernardt, and also
featured Frank Raiter and Frances Sternhagen.
ILLYRIA Benefit Concert March 15, 2004
Barrett played the part of Sir Andrew Aguecheek in a staged concert
reading of the new musical ILLYRIA which was held as a benefit for the Prospect
Theater Company at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Also in the cast were Cheyenne
Jackson, Gavin Creel, Daniel Jenkins, Laura Marie Duncan, Marcus Neville,
and Megan McGinnis. Read

A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE Readings February
25, March 29, May 14, 2004
Barrett played the part of Rodolpho in a one-act version of Arthur Miller's
A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, which was part of the "Food for Thought" reading
series. Austin Pendelton directed the reading with Danny Aiello as Eddie,
and Robert LuPone reprising his role as Alfieri from the 1998 Tony-winning
revival. Barrett was asked to reprise his role two more times, adding Sam
Coppola as Eddie on March 29, and Mercedes Ruehl as Beatrice on May 14. Read
